If I were managing workflow within teams, I would employ a number of strategies to keep the team members motivated. First, I would be a servant leader and focus on the growth and well-being of the team members. As informed by Hu & Liden (2011), personal integrity in all realms of life is a defining characteristic of a servant leader. The author points out that the team members will reciprocate by exerting more efforts.
Second, I would ensure there is clarity in goals and process. I will make sure that team members understand their individual roles and how they link to the overall team goal. According to Hu & Liden (2011), clarity of goals and the process has a powerful impact on the effectiveness of the team. Therefore, with clarity, team members will be motivated to perform better.
Third, I would provide the team members with a favorable working environment. This would see to it that they are not disrupted as they carry out their tasks...
