Nonverbal communication plays a critical role in providing essential feedback when communication is happening one-on-one (Baack, 2017). Nonverbal communication conveys powerful messages in several ways. First, the use of body language is often more convincing than speech. Evidence has shown that it is harder for a person to lie through the use of nonverbal communication than it is when using speech.
