Global IT Organizations and Management
Global organizations play integral roles in influencing the behaviors of their consumers. Often, business managers motivate the loyalty of their consumers by producing products and services that such consumers desire. Little emphasis has been put into how organizations arrive at specific decisions to sell specific goods or services. Superficially, it is the management philosophy adopted by a particular organization that plays the role of deciding what entity values and what it does not value. In the long-term, the management philosophy defines longevity, market share, and relevance of a business organization. Macdonald’s is one of the business outlets that have succeeded through strategic management philosophies. Even more resounding was the expansion of its business portfolios with desserts, wraps, milkshakes, soft drinks, and breakfast menus introduced to its growing product lines. The growth of Macdonald’s has been steady. Currently, the entity serves approximately 69 million customers each day (Funucane, 2018). Also, it has opened 37,855 outlets globally thereby becoming the largest outlet in its kind in the industry. With such a strategic growth comes the need to address needs from customers with diverse tastes and beliefs. It is notable that the growth that Macdonald has experienced over the years has also been a major factor in testing its crisis management philosophy.
The crisis management philosophy is a reactionary management style whose success is rooted in various grounds. A crisis management philosophy is a reactive philosophy that business organizations in highly dynamic industries employ to maintain relevance even amidst abrupt changes (Smith & Graetz, (2011). The fast-food industry is one of the most dynamic industries in the world. The dynamism is rooted in the increasing number of people seeking products from the outlets, the changing competition landscapes, and the influx of challenges such as ...
