Effective leaders are expected to successfully coach teams, deliver sound feedback, collaborate smoothly with others, and manage their stresses. These actions depict emotional intelligence, which means being able to manage and comprehend one's personal emotions while recognizing and influencing the emotional nature of other people (Coskun et al., 2018). Emotional intelligence is crucial and critical in steering effective leadership. A leader must be able to keep afloat when there are conflicts and chaos in the workplace. The leader must overcome all toxic and negative emotions and be willing to influence change and positivity (Crowne et al., 2017). Leaders who are known to have high emotional intelligence can foster a healthy culture that favors all people and steers unity and positivity.
