As a Union President, you receive an EEOC charge alleging that the union failed to protect a member's Title VII civil rights. A male member claims to have been sexually harassed no less than seven times over the past 18 months. When he reported the Union Leadership incidents, the behavior only increased, and harassment increased significantly. Being the HR Manager, I will have to develop a response and defense plan for the above case.
Response to EEOC
The labor union, Pro Se, hereby submits this response and categorically denies any wrongdoing related to the false, malicious, and harmful allegations presented by the EEOC. The labor union also reiterates that the EEOC does not have sufficient information or knowledge to base a belief as to the truth of the allegations contained in the charge. The labor union hopes that the EEOC will;
* Find it fit to dismiss all the charges
* Award the labor union costs and other expenses that are deemed just and equitable
* However, if indeed the labor union is liable, the EEOC should grant the plaintiff (alleged sexually harassed employee) a reduced amount based on the labor union's admissions.
