Consumer decision-making models are significant for making consumers decide on the right choice before the final purchase. It is necessary to understand the behaviors of consumers and their attraction to the products. The paper addresses two consumer decision-making models, the passive and emotional models.
The passive model is one of the critical consumer decision-making models. The model is based on the fact that consumers make impulsive decisions and are more irrational (Bbamantra & Nawaz, 2016). Besides, it uses specific persuasion techniques such as advertisement and promotion. The consumer also makes a choice depending on evaluating alternative brands and focusing on suitable and appealing products. In the passive model, the consumers' decisions can easily be manipulated depending on the marketer's effort.
