Organizational culture plays an important role in determining productivity levels. When organizations develop a culture of productivity, it becomes easy for the employees to adapt to such a culture, thus enhancing their abilities to meet organizational goals (Warrick, 2017). Amazon is one of the companies whose success is attributable to an organizational culture that influences employee behavior. This paper will focus on Amazon’s culture and how it has facilitated the company’s success over the years.
Amazon’s culture influences employees to work hard to achieve the company’s set objectives. The company facilitates this culture by creating conducive work environments and setting examples. An example of a conducive work environment at Amazon is how employees get fair compensation regardless of working long hours. Setting examples through leadership also helps Amazon’s employees adapt to a culture of hard work. According to Smith (2021), Jeff Bezos is an example of a leader who works their best to implement a culture of hard work. He worked for four years, pushing teams to make speech recognition seamless. If an organization wishes to succeed in its projects, persistence and good leadership help greatly in the process.
