Agile Project Management in the Military
Agile Project Management (APM) is a significant initiative in governance by various organizations worldwide. In adopting agility, an organization needs to define the set of organizational challenges, identify the vision important in steering the organization to solving these problems, select an appropriate model and adopt a collaborative effort between the experts and technological application (Levitt, 2011). The government and the military are institutions that are more often than not resistant to change. The effects of adopting APM in the military have been explored herein significantly.
APM is not prevalent in the military despite the effectiveness of this approach. The national government encounters challenges when aligning its military budgets with national responsibilities. The APM is the latest solution recommendable to the government and the military institutions to help achieve cost-effective processes and a positively impacted national budget (Sloane et al., 2008). Apart from cost-effectiveness associated with agility, agility in project management would offer the organization opportunities to exploit technological advancements for quick execution of its current and future projects.
