In this interview of women's experiences on the subway or any form of public transport, I spoke to three women, Maya, Lonny, and Megan, who travel by public to and from work every day of the week. However, the participants had never been interviewed before they agreed to take part in it freely. The three women showered interest in my interview and felt that their participation might help spread awareness about public transport harassment. My aim to conduct the interview is to understand how women respond and interact with my questions to collect data.
I asked Maya what her experiences on the subway were like. Maya responded that by commuting by bus daily, she shared uncomfortable moments with a fellow passenger. I was once groped in a subway home when I was 12 years old. I was so young I did not realize I was being groped until years later. I held onto a handlebar when a middle-aged man standing next to me grabbed my crotch. This bus was fairly full of passengers, none of whom seemed to notice.
