Plagiarism is the act of using the works of other authors and presenting them like it is your original composition. These acts of plagiarism can include but are not limited to directly copying literary works, art, and audio-visual material without crediting the reference author or making the proper citations. Usually, students often self-plagiarize their previous work and present it as a new composition for the academe. Although, there are instances when plagiarism is unintentional. For example, a person used another author's work, but he did not paraphrase the words used. Even if it has a citation, it is still considered plagiarism.
