Business and professional Plagiarism from an Experience standpoint, and why such plagiarism is common
Plagiarism is prevalent in business and professional writing. Plagiarism occurs when one presents someone else's designs, words, code or visuals, as his/her without proper acknowledgment and permission. Plagiarism remains unethical, yet it happens in everyday life, especially in professional and business writing, where authors of reports may fail to properly acknowledge the sources of their information, visuals, codes, or words. Plagiarism in the business world is complex and frequent. For instance, most journalists would lift reporters' work, such as paragraphs, without acknowledging and getting permission to do so. There are continuously copied templates for business reports, performance appraisal, procedures, and financial reports in the workplace and organization, which constitutes plagiarism because the original copy was designed and developed by someone who is rarely mentioned or acknowledged in the current business reports. In the workplace, people can present other people’s ideas to the management or bosses as their own work or ideas without giving credit and acknowledgment to originators of such work or ideas. In the business world, many people and organizations copy other designs and product codes without permission. In marketing, there is increasing use of unauthorized images and videos.
