Critical thinking is one of the significant aspects that are vital to leadership approach and development. According to Elder and Paul (2014), universal intellectual standards are elements that determine one’s quality of reasoning. Notably, integrating these universal intellectual standards, such as logic, significance, and fairness, and relevance, among others, will be essential in promoting critical thinking (Elder & Paul, 2014). Subsequently, in today’s highly competitive business environment, the risks of poor decisions can be costly. As a result, leaders should continuously seek to improve their critical thinking capacity to enhance their decision-making skills.
Leaders have to make major decisions during their day to day activities. In most cases, leaders cannot rely on past events or solutions to solve ever-changing organizational challenges.
