The Tempest Reflection Author Name Institution Affiliation William Shakespeare needs no introduction. He is a famous English playwright, actor, and poet. He can be regarded as the best writer and a great dramatist. Shakespeare’s works include up to 39 plays, two long narrative poems, several verses, and 154 sonnets (2017). Through his plays, William has always conveyed his emotions and delivered great, positive messages. William Shakespeare’s plays can be classified as comical and romantic, and are regarded as the most significant and best of these genres. It’s safe to say that all of his plays are incredible, but the one that stands out from the crowd is The Tempest. What took place at Central Washington University’s Theater was an entertaining and incredible presentation of The Tempest. It was full of comedy and made me and everyone else laugh for long (Andrews). The play was quite interesting, and I was able to chuckle a lot while watching it. This play involved the daughter of a wizard, affordable fairies, beach bums, and malicious monsters. A shipwreck was also found there, which took place on an unidentifiable island. There were a lot of unique elements or aspects that did not let me feel bored (University, 2013). For example, staging, costumes, characters, and lighting were all graceful. These things seemed to have been chosen wisely or carefully. Basically, the costumes were eccentric. I could see that they were complimenting the theme and story of this play. On the other hand, the lighting was moderate.
