Three artifacts that can be regarded as exemplary of technical writing are Apple’s Business Conduct Policy, iPhone User Guide, and Environmental Progress Report. The purpose of the company’s Business Conduct Policy is to communicate the organizational principals guiding employee conduct in all actions involving the company (Apple inc., 2022a). In this regard, the artifact’s context is to outline acceptable behaviors by Apple employees beyond government control when conducting business on the company’s behalf. The artifact successfully communicates its purposes within its context by its conciseness, clarity, and organization. The Business Conduct Policy document is straightforward and uses simple language to avoid employee confusion or misunderstandings.
