I can say that the presentation on plastic bags used for this course was an eye opener for me to have a larger spectrum regarding the usage of plastic bags. I realized that I am a consumer who receives hundreds of plastic bags each month. From the slides I learned that only one percent of the plastic bags are recycled, and it costs more recycling a plastic bag than producing one. Another thing I gained from the slides is that many species are affected by this use of plastic bags in the environment.
