PRACTICE:
Practice: Mr. Yehulugeta provides compassionate and competent nursing care to veterans with complex mental and medical needs. He shares the role of Charge Nurse during the evening shift. Mr. Yehulugeta is an experienced Code Green Team member capable of deploying to behavioral emergencies throughout the hospital. As a Code Green team member, he is adept at employing therapeutic communication to support patients while maintaining professional objectivity and distance. He also possesses the necessary critical thinking skills required to determine the best plan of care that involves the least restrictive restraint while meeting the patient's needs. Moreover, Mr. Yehulugeta regularly facilitates postcode debriefings to support staff's emotional well-being and enhance patient outcomes. He understands the criteria for calling a rapid response in the unit for patients in distress while preventing fright among the hospital visitors.
