1. How many of the 13 moral problems did you identify correctly? This question is not designed to grade you, or make you feel bad. Some students will get a score of 0, others 13, and others something in-between. The point is for you to see what your current level of awareness of moral problems is.
I identified 3 moral problems.
2. Review any of the moral problems that you may have identified correctly. How did you know to flag these areas? Among other things, consider how you might have drawn from past coursework, professional development, personal experience, the experience of others, and media consumption.
The first problem identified is the absence of the director of compliance. The meeting discusses essential factors that determine the safety of the consumer. Therefore, the director should be present because they have the final word on how and where to sell the product.
The other moral problem is how the affected victims got in an agreement not to go public so that the company can pay their medical bills. I identified this as a moral problem because the company is hiding the truth about a product that can be harmful when consumed by infants.
