Illusion of justice.
In the novel, brave new world by Aldous Huxley’s, the veil of ignorance which appears to twist the law in order to ensure justice claims that people should focus on making all factions of the society to be comfortable just in case people end up in bottom status when establishing rules. In the novel, society is brainwashed to believe that they are satisfied and happy with their ability, possession and ranks. Huxley’s states clearly that an individual should remain content because of their ignorance of other best alternatives. Additionally, it is correct to state that society in the brave new world people are robbed of their self-consciousness because majority have no ability to assess their benefits (Aldous, H. 1932). Therefore, the society in the brave new world doesn’t exercise justice and it minimizes peoples own interest. This paper will discuss illusion of justice in the society of brave new world and the tempest novel.
Huxley have presented arguments in a more democratic and communistic form because they aim towards freedom and rights. The society in brave new world are constantly in a state of imprisonment. They rely on conditions from superiors to love their servitude and no any individual highlights a sign of dissatisfactory. Human being are supposed to exercise the right to be happy and to be unhappy. Therefore, the society have been brainwashed through catchphrases, drugs and promiscuity because, the confinement and freedom of individual happens in the mind. According to Huxley’s statement that everyone belongs to everyone else in the Brave new world, members of the society are not free and every individual partakes in influencing everyone else (Aldous, H. 1932).
Human kind have lost the free will to the monitoring of powers. These power systems offers no quality justice and cannot be termed as government because it is more akin in characteristics of slavery. Therefore, human kind finds no justice and his free will becomes violated. Additionally, man’s free will is served with no respect and intellect but it is offered through degeneration and conduct. Justice in Brave new world indicates that government opts to preserve interest of state which have promoted to people’s choosing of wrong factions in the conflict of interest.
