It was challenging completing the online activity Spent. It made me experience first-hand the life of low-wage-earning people. I faced several financial and social constraints throughout my one month in the activity. First, I had to sell some of my stuff because I had a small space and could not afford to rent a store. Second, I missed a school function for my child because I had to work for $50 after I lost my job after 23 days at work and needed money to pay bills. I also compromised my privacy and shared my apartment with another person who offered $200. The roommate was disastrous, but I had to put up with him because I needed the money. I also could not pay for my dental services and used numbing gel to treat my teeth.
