As far as my career is concerned, I have established clear-cut objectives and goals that I hope to achieve. It is worth noting that these goals and objectives are centered on realizing the full potential and developing a successful career as a dental hygienist and hopefully furthering my education by acquiring a Master’s degree within 6 years. However, I also understand that I need to make significant decisions with regards to my career in order to achieve this goal. The core problem that I face in the development of my career is the cost of education and the placement into a reliable institution to further my education. To address this problem, I intend to secure a part time job for the next five years and save as much money as I can I preparation of furthering my education. At the same time, I intend to remain debt-free and minimize purchases of products or materials that are not in line with furthering my education. Lastly, I plan to begin my research into viable schools and start the application process within the next 18 months. In this way, I look forward to achieving my career objective of securing a Master’s degree within 6 years.

The world of work as it pertains to the career of a dental hygienist is broad and full of numerous opportunities that stand to help me realize a successful and fulfilling career. However, in order to ensure that I can fully benefit from a successful career, I need to be fully equipped with the relevant knowledge to help me forge a career path that works for me. In this regard, I intend to join all professional organizations of dental hygienists that I can and through such organizations develop a robust network of professional contacts. Hopefully, many of these contacts will have more experience that myself in this field, and as such will equally serve as consultants with regards to developing a fulfilling career. In this way, I can benefit from the vast knowledge of many professional dental hygienists, which will help me void many career pitfalls.
At the same time, it is important to note that knowing myself will also be a core part of the career development. As such, I plan on reading extensively about possible career paths as a dental hygienist. At the same time, I look forward to reading extensively and engaging in my hobbies with the aim of developing a well-rounded and balanced life. Through these engagements, I believe that I will develop a clearer understanding of myself which will significantly help me in my quest to truly know myself. As I make progress in these two core facets of life, I believe that I will develop a clear picture of the kind of career as well as the kind of life that I want. In this way, I can create a tailored vision of my career and what I expect to get out of it. I believe that this will be of great importance as far as making important career decisions is concerned. This information will be used to make my career decisions and will serve as a blueprint of what I want to pursue in my career and life and what I do not need to waste my time on.
