Double arguments are collections of contrasting set of views that help scholars understand issues in depth by considering both sides of the issue. Greek sophists required that their students write arguments from both sides of a controversial topic. Therefore, double arguments are found in compiled reports of ancient enthusiastic Greek students of rhetoric. Among the issues discussed are politics and morality and most people tend to ask rhetoric questions surrounding these topics.
