Excelsior College: Audience Awareness Writing Assignment

Post your primary response (150 – 200 words). 
You have been asked to write two paragraphs about your first week as a student taking online classes at Excelsior College, describing your experiences and what you have learned so far. But, there is a catch!
You must write one paragraph for the administration of the college to read. Your paragraph to the college administration should be formal.
And a second paragraph for your fellow classmates to read. Your paragraph to your classmates should be warm and friendly.
It is time to use what you know already about being a skilled rhetorician and to practice the rhetorical skills you have learned about so far in this course.
As you compose, you should consider these questions:
• What key experiences do I want to convey?
• What language will I use with these two different audiences?
• How will my content be similar or different in my two paragraphs?
