Essay Instructions:

Investigate professional journals and locate two articles pertaining to organizational behavior that are of interest to you. You are to critique each of the two articles according to the instructions below. The articles should be less than three years old. You are encouraged to use the ProQuest Database found in the Ashford Online Library.
Each one- to two- page critique (a total of two to four pages for both critiques) must include the following three parts and must be formatted according to APA style as outlined in the approved APA style guide (including title page, in text citations and reference list). Include both article reviews into one document for submission to WayPoint (do not submit two documents).
Identification of the Article - Provide the reader with enough information about your article so he/she will be able to locate the article.
Summary of the Article - List the main points that the author has tried to establish (i.e., 1, 2, 3 or first, second, third). There normally will be three to five main points. If you are summarizing a court case, you should discuss: What provision of the law was at issue? Briefly state the facts of the case. What legal tests were applied? Were there any unusual elements in the case?
Your Critique - Provide your reaction (insightful, critical, and logical) to the points that the author tried to make, or an overall critique of the entire article. A simple statement of agreement or disagreement is not sufficient. While you may make such a statement by way of introduction to your reaction, you must clearly and logically state the reasons for the position that you have taken.

The articles were searched and retrieved by using organizational behavior as the key words. Primary focus was provided on articles that touched on the people component of organizational behavior. The first article that will form the basis of the assignment is by Devi (2020). Devi is a reputable individual on matters pertaining to organizational behavior and particularly to the management of employees in an organization. The second article used in the critique is by Kandpal et al. (2018. Similarly, the authors have vast experiences on the areas of organizational behavior and have written various articles in that regard over the years.
Summary of the Articles
Article One: The first article dubbed Devi (2020) primarily entails on the core organizational behavioral concept and component of people. There are several key points that were shared in the article. To begin with, it notes that employees in a company play vital roles in ensuring that organizational goals and objectives are effectively realized. The article highlights on the fact that based on the above fact it is vital that the management in organizations provide employees with conducive working environments which will not only make the employees feel valued and appreciated but also motivated to dutifully complete all the assigned tasks. Secondly, the article also details that in many companies employees are usually given stretching goals and targets and as such, pushed to their extreme limits. There are instances where the management employs competitive work environments that see employees who excel exceptionally from performing their duties realized either in monetary or non-monetary means. Thirdly, the article also highlights on ranking systems that are instituted in some firms and which are usually sent to employees periodically for them to see their performance against their colleagues. According to Devi (2020), “Employees who continuously languish on the bottom end of the performance ranking system are not only the laughing stock of the entire company but are also at risk of losing their jobs”. Overall, the above article is centered on identifying ways that employees could be effectively managed in organizations and which would not put them under immense pressure.
Article Two: The second article dubbed Kandpal et al. (2018) shares on the different means of obtaining feedback instituted by the managements of various organizations.
