Agree or Disagree that those Books should be Banned

Essay Instructions:

I have been hearing a lot about Dr. Seuss in the news. You can explain to me in an essay what exactly is going on with Dr. Seuss and President Biden. After explaining what is happening (That means sifting through the news to find the real story) then you can give me your opinion on the matter.
Introduction:Introduce the topic- Book banning/Dr. Seuss (I think we all grew up reading Dr. Seuss)
Put the topic in context. Explain what President Biden decided and why (in regards to Dr. Seuss).
Thesis: Agree or disagree that those books should be banned.
You can have a thesis about book banning in general, or you can make it specific to the recent Dr. Seuss banning.
This is an argumentative essay so you need to take a stand on whether you agree or disagree with the book banning.
After formulating your thesis, the rest of the essay will give your reasons.
Chapter 12 in the textbook gives detail on how to argue a position, so you should refer to Chapter 12.
Again, you have choice. I think it is a very controversial topic and I am interested in what you think about it.

The issue of banning books has started even way back. It has been an ongoing case ever since 1455 where Guttenberg established the printing press. As different books were produced by mass printing, these productions were used to control and manipulate the different aspects that hold humanity, which were religion, politics, and profit. Although surprisingly, vulgarity and indecency are considered to be not justifiable as a source of reason in banning books (Foerstel, 2002). Moreover, just as those many books that have been connected to such issues, Dr. Seuss's works are not an exception as issues emerged from different news about Dr. Seuss and President Biden. I present in this paper the truth behind the issue and my stand of disagreeing with the issue of banning Dr. Suess's influential works.
The Banning Issue of Dr. Seuss's Works
The Read Across America Day is an event sponsored by the National Education Association, which has the same date as Dr. Suess or Theodor Geisel's birthday. This event is where the two former presidents, namely, former president Obama and Trump, stated their proclamation and mentioned Dr. Seuss's books' influence. Nevertheless, interestingly, President Biden did not mention Dr. Seuss or his works during his speech, which sparked the issue between Dr. Seuss and President Biden (Budryk, 2021). Theodor Seuss Geisel or Dr. Seuss is a widely known writer for children's books. His writing style was using children's cartooning as a medium for writing and being a propagandist ever since World War II. His works are considered to be best-selling children's books for all time in which out of the top 100 works by the Publishers Weekly in 2001, sixteen of Dr. Seuss's works were named as one of this top 100 (Nel, 2005). Several articles were released back to the issue, and issues continued to emerge after the event where sensitive people raised their opinions about what happened. According to the news article in Newsweek written by Morris (2021), even the Republican California Governer candidate named Errol Webber stated his opinion, representing his significant disagreement with President Biden's actions during the event. In the news article of The Hill, Budryck (2021) disclosed that Dr. Seuss Enterprises, the company which holds publishing and management of Dr. Seuss's works, announced that they would stop republishing the six works of Dr. Seuss as it was labeled as racist and offensive in terms of language and visualization. The news article even presented that 2021 Read Across America will not use Dr. Seuss's works as the event's primary focus. They also added that Loudun Country Public Schools are still encouraging children to read diverse and inclusive books and emphasized that Dr. Seuss's works are not banned and are still available. The news article Daily Herald supported this claim where Oswald (2021) stated that President Biden is not connected to the issue of not publishing works under the Dr. Seuss Enterprise and Hasbro. This made the issue more sensitive for Dr. Seuss supporters and followers.
In my perspective, banning the works of Dr. Seuss is a disagreeable issue since there have been so...
