3x3 Writing Process: A Car Warranty

Scenario 1: 1 David’s purpose in sending a message to the customer is to inform the customer that the car warranty has expired and therefore the car company could not shoulder the cost of repairs contrary to the information which the dealership has provided the customer. Once the warranty expires, it is now the customer’s responsibility to handle the repairs of the vehicle regardless of its condition prior to the expiry as stipulated in the terms and conditions. 2 The secondary purpose of David’s message would be to educate both dealership and customer on the terms and conditions of the warranty. It is imperative that all stakeholders must be well informed on the regulations by the claims department in order to avoid similar incidents in the future. 3 This information must be communicated to customer via letter officially signed and sealed by proper authorities who represent the company. The significance of such communiqué endorses a firm stand on the matter regarding claims with strict compliance to the rules and regulations. Scenario 2: 1 The primary audiences of the memo are Jason Tucker, Chief Information Officer at Wascana Investments, while Barbara Miller, Zedex President; and the group of Wascana investors would be secondary audiences. 2 I am part of the team under the sales director Victor Boudeli and my professional relationship with the primary audience is a direct client who is looking for custom accounting solutions. 3 The tone of the memo should be formal and would consist of the practical features of the product that would immediately inform the client if the product is suitable for their company Wascana Investments. 4 Jason Tucker is accountants who have recently been certified as a network analyst. It is my opinion that the primary audience is quite knowledgeable on the product software given that Wascana Investments is in dire need of a system upgrade which induces that their current system no longer supports their company’s need. 5 I expect a positive response based on the current features of our product Zedex III solutions software. It is imperative that we highlight the strengths of our company that is grounded on full confidence of the product that we provide. 6 The secondary readers are Barbara Miller, Zedex President and the group of Wascana investors. Their information needs emphasizes on the software products’ features which is in line with the client’s needs.
