The number of officer-related domestic violence has been on the rise, which causes concern about the safety of the family members of police officers. The main reason domestic violence has been on the rise is the stressful work environment that police officers go through. The challenges that cause such stress put the police officers at the risk of committing suicide, murdering their family members, becoming drug addicts, or divorcing their partners. I think police officers work in a highly toxic environment, and measures need to reduce such toxicity. Once the police are allowed to work in a safe environment free from stressor factors, they will be less likely to express domestic violence.
