There are numerous ways in which the Energy Policy Modernization Act benefits communities. One way is through the aspect of accountability. As the bill outlines, certain reforms are to be done to the department of energy’s loan program (United States Congress 2021). In addition, some portions of the U.S code were removed on the basis of being out of date while the electrical grid had to be prioritized. These measures help increase accountability and ensure that every budgetary allocation to the department of energy is used efficiently and effectively. The end result is that communities benefit from effective, efficient, and affordable energy services.
The second way through which communities benefit is through an increase in the number of conservation projects. The Act permanently ensures that the Land and Water conservation fund is availed. The protection of our natural resources has been shown to be very important in helping preserve our environment and reduce undesirable climatic changes.
