As a prosecutor, one is held to a higher standard and it is paramount that they get to live to that standard. It is common for prosecutors to have evidence that would easily set free the accused by indicating that they are innocent. However, due to competing interests often times, innocent persons are sent to jail even though there is evidence to indicate otherwise. Given this chance, I would perform my duty as a prosecutor and exonerate the accused, in light of new evidence of their innocence. This is crucial as part of the ethical standards that guide the legal system. As such, the issue of being elected in the next election should not at any one point obstruct the course of justice. It is important as a prosecutor to set the pace on the ethical practices within the profession. This means that, where evidence indicates that an accused person may be innocent after all, it is crucial that they are let free. Implicating an accused person as guilty using false evidence is a crime and further speaks to the moral and ethical standards of the prosecutor.
Watching the short video, it is clear that the two judges have committed crimes and should be held accountable. In the case of Judge Floor, there is a case of getting involved sexually with the bailiff. This is highly inappropriate and warrants that she is suspended from the bench. While she claims that she remains on the bench, it is clear that the relationship that she has with the bailiff will impact the quality of her decisions as a judge. As such, it is crucial that the appropriate steps are taken to ensure that such actions are not repeated as they tend to compromise the court cases that the judge handles. It is also clear that in the second case involving forged documents by a court staff is a violation of the law. Forging court documents is a crime and one that should be followed up a resignation letter from the judge under whose authority the accused staff worked.
