The American History

Essay Instructions:

From the book-
Give Me Liberty!: An American History
Book by Eric Foner
It is an essay. One strategy to taking this test is, before you start writing, outline what you want to say; use your resources (see Instructions) to add detail and supporting evidence to what you want to say; make sure you have components from the reading in there; and last, actually write the essay. Each essay will ask you to compare and contrast differient points of view and perspectives, expereinces, etc. Make sure you cover each point of view. As a rough rubric, I will grade looking at percentages of coverage for 90% and reading for 10%. So, if you answer a question asking you to cover the impact of the New World in Native American, African and European culture, I will weigh that 30% for how you cover each of those cultures plus 10% for evidence of reading.
This test will count for 25% of your final grade.
2. There are four questions. You are responsible for answering ONE of them.
3. The main items I am looking for are grasp of concepts - what happened and why, consequences, etc.
4. Bring in evidence that you have done the reading, and be direct. Saying "On page 45.." or "The main points in Chapter 4..." are legitimate ways of doing that.
5. You may use the book, your notes and the PowerPoints to assist you.
6. The test will close at 10 AM on Friday, so all work must be submitted by then.

The integration had significant cultural implications for the three distinct population groups involved in the Atlantic economy. In essence, the invasion of the New World by European powers shaped made the Native American culture become weak and also influence its transformation.

Native American Society

A vital feature of the Native American society at the time when Europeans arrived was diversity (Foner, 2019, p. 46).
