The Oregon Cop and Michael Abend with Councilman Jim Cleveland
The Oregon Cop, Dustin Alex Stone, is conscious of societal relationships, which should always be positive. He bases his judgment and action on Christian values, which do not allow him to remain silent in the face of societal discrimination perpetuated by anybody, including his boss in the police force. It is the reason he reported his boss, Hoover, for discriminating against the black race and openly promoting racism (Chan, 2018). The Bible in Deuteronomy 1:17 supports the Oregon Cop's action. The verse says, "You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not fear man, for the judgment is God's. The case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it." The Oregon Cop did not fear anything and only stood for what was right despite Hoover threatening him.
