Community Recreation and Research Activities in My Community
Community recreation denotes refreshment at the local levels, such as community social amenities and community-based activities such as sport, aquatics, government initiatives, individual development, and rehabilitation programs (McLean & Hurd, 2015). Below are the five social functions of community recreation and research activities in my community that meet the social functions.
Our community recreation activities improve the individuals’ quality of life by providing enjoyable and productive leisure opportunities. They can engage in different activities such as singing together and educating one another about peace and love leading to unity and respect among community members (Oncescu & Loewen, 2020). On the other hand, our community recreation makes the community a more attractive place to reside and visit. For example, it has improved the physical environment full of essential resources such as parks, open spaces for seating, and enjoying the scenery of green grass and sun. Similarly, individuals are encouraged to stay as long as they want. Besides, the security system is stable and tight; hence people are protected from harm.
