The potential impacts include death, injuries, poor air quality, destruction of infrastructure, and other public health concerns. In this regard, community nurses are a vital resource in the disaster response plan.
There is a need to have proper measures to prepare the community whenever a tornado disaster occurs. The paper will discuss and analyzes the tornado impacts in Cincinnati and formulates responses to the disaster, including the systems and community-level responses. Further, the paper identifies disaster plans for the community. It identifies areas where the plan can be improved, drawing conclusions based on the community's preparedness for the disaster response.

Cincinnati is one of the tornado-prone areas in Ohio. It is vital to note that tornadoes cause diverse public health challenges whenever they occur. There are diverse incentives that must be met to respond effectively to tornado disasters.
The Nursing Response
In case of a tornado occurrence, community nurses must be at the forefront of the response efforts. In this regard, it is essential to have structures and interventions formulated to assist the community cope with the impacts of the tornado. As a community nurse, one of the most effective approaches is to cooperate with other agencies to identify victims of injuries and those requiring special medical attention (Labrague et al., 2019).
