When starting a project, it is always good to develop an outline, create deliverables, and set realistic and measurable goals. The project manager should develop a schedule that shows how different tasks will be undertaken in parallel to facilitate overall success. As such, the best approach to track a project is by making sure that all deliverables, tasks, and goals are achieved in line with the set schedule. For instance, if the project is planned to take six months, the manager should ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly objectives are met (Kerzner, 2019). The biggest role that a manager plays is coordinating all project activities and compiling the results to facilitate overall success. If the project manager does not follow up on all activities, it would be difficult to track the project since all activities cannot be achieved as planned.
