Explain the main stages of human development and describe what you think may be the important hallmarks of each stage. Remember to utilize your course and relevant outside readings to support your assumptions.
Developmental Theories
The first stage is the biological beginning, where there is also prenatal development and birth (Santrock, 2018). Heredity and the environment influence differences in development. Genetics is the foundation of action, and carrying certain genes explains some of the differences.
The next phase is infancy, where there is physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development in infancy. In physical growth, there are patterns of growth that help determine whether there is normal development. Both the weight and height increase with age, while develops well, while nutrition promotes good development. In motor development, children improve they develop motor skills and reflexes. They also begin to understand language, their surroundings and personalities develop.
In the early childhood phase, there is physical and cognitive development and socioemotional development. The body continues to develop and change while sleep, nutrition, and exercises promote the child's wellbeing.
