The spirit of inquiry generally refers to the urge to know more about a situation or problem to guide decision-making. In an evidence-based culture, there are two parties which the interviewer has the spirit of inquiry, whereas the interviewee will respond to the questions asked (Skela-Savič et al., 2020). This type of culture brings bout a high level of honesty about information being sought. The spirit of inquiry will be critical in knowing the actual problem and help come up with a relative solution.
As a registered nurse in my healthcare institution, I would inquire about information of patients and explanations of the situation and health status of the people. I would also encourage the health facility to have chronological data of all the patients with complete information regarding their personal and health status (Royer et al., 2019).
