Social media plays an integral role in the health industry, especially in enlightening the public on the emergence of certain diseases as well as various innovations that help to improve health conditions in society. The public need to hear accurate information from the health industry, which is free from any form of manipulation. Sharing of public health information and correction of misinformation through blogs, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, as well as Facebook pages, is a right strategy to employ in career enhancement (Hyder, 2019). For instance, with the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, individuals have been using social media such as blogs to spread wrong information that the coronavirus cannot survive in hot places. Through the social platforms, I will be able to ask other healthcare professionals to contribute in their updates, news feeds, and discussions. Also, social media can be a source knowledge for health professionals (Escoffery et al., 2018).
