Education is like dawn on a dark and rainy day. Through education, individuals are facilitated to become better versions of themselves. One of the benefits of education is enhancing health beliefs and practices. Most educated people can live healthier and longer lives than people with little or no education.
According to the Healthy People 2030 website data, we are indeed improving. The proportion of students who attend high school and graduate in four years has been on the rise over the years. According to the most recent data, it stands at 85.8 percent from 2018 to 2019. Our target as a country is at 90.7 percent, which displays a slight difference between the current state and the desired result (United States Department of Health & Human Services, 2020).
