Ethics is crucial to delivering high-quality, expert treatment as a medical professional in a sub-acute rehabilitation hospital. I have developed my ethical principles, leadership abilities, and organizational understanding through the organizations I have worked for. I must consider my areas for growth to improve my expertise and continue to grow as a leader of my team and myself. To do this, I completed the American College of Healthcare Executives Competency Tool (ACHE) to represent my managerial skills on a competency-based scale. A tool employed to assess someone's comprehension and perception of ethical concerns in healthcare organizations is the ACHE Ethics Pre-Assessment. If someone were to complete the pre-assessment, the findings would highlight their ethical strengths and opportunities for development.
I evaluated my professional and interpersonal strengths and limitations after completing the assessment. The assessment incorporated two primary ethics—Leadership and Relationships—that were later divided into more precise criteria. Although each section contained relatable elements, the Relationships element contained much information I utilize frequently. The first one that drew my attention declared that I safeguard patients' rights to independence, effectiveness in clinical trials, and full information about their medical conditions, therapies, and related expenses.
