“Death with dignity” is one of the widely accepted phrases in Oregon State and other parts of the United States. Additionally, terminally ill individuals use the process to ingest the prescribed medication in hastening death. According to Ganzini (2017), most individuals perceive the process as physician-assisted death or assisted suicide. In the case of the terminally ill patent, it would be imperative to gather relevant information on medical care and the requirements for the prescribed dying-medication (Pandarakalam, 2018). For instance, the patient must have had a terminal illness that would eventually lead to death within six months. Notably, the patients must have the capability of making ideal healthcare decisions for themselves.
