What titles are used for APRNs? Are all four APRN roles recognized in your state? If not, which roles are not recognized?

Provide support from the literature for each.
/2 Identify and discuss legislation in your state legislature regarding the APRN role.
Is there legislation currently being proposed in your state legislature regarding the APRN role? Has there been previous state legislation that has failed? To find out, go to the state legislature websites and search for current state legislation. Use search terms such as "nurse", "nursing", "APRN," etc.

/0.5 Conclusion: Provide a single summary paragraph of the main points of the discussion.
/2 Substantial cross posts to at least two (2) other students. The cross posts provide new or supplemental information to the original posting or raise additional areas for discussion. New or additional peer-reviewed references should be cited in both cross posts.
/1.5 Students demonstrate active engagement in the discussion by responding to cross posts from their peers to their initial posting. References are not required for these responses. The key to this section is to demonstrate active engagement in the discussion through your interaction with your peers--watch for posts from your classmates and acknowledge their posting. *Note: if the student does not have peer cross posts for the initial posting, these points will be incorporated into the cross post section above.

Refer to the assignment instructions for details on required content, word limits, required references, due dates, Turnitin requirements, etc. Keep the focus on the intent of the assignment and do not allow yourself to drift too far. The following critical elements should guide your postings:
Prepare for the assignment by reviewing the unit content and resources. Students should demonstrate graduate-level understanding and analysis of the concepts and the relationships among ideas, identifying hidden assumptions or fallacies in reasoning. Students are expected to demonstrate the ability to apply the principles or concepts in the lessons to real-life situations integrating implications for advanced practice. Students should support their opinions with expert opinion through a deep dive into the literature validating thinking and/or broadening perspectives/understanding of the content.
Cross posts should elaborate upon the ideas of others or content found in the readings/keynotes by adding details, examples, a different viewpoint, or other relevant information. The cross posts should provide original insights or responses that integrate multiple views. (Just saying ditto, I agree, or restating the original post is not considered elaboration.) There should be evaluation and feedback that assesses the accuracy, reasonableness, or quality of idea, and provides constructive feedback to classmates.
The original post and cross posts should provide reflection and meaning by describing thoughtfully what the idea means, uncovering new insights. The cross posts should raise questions as to what needs further clarification or discussion. Personal or professional experiences may be integrated into the cross posts, but are not the sole purpose of the cross posts.
The initial and cross posts should be posted by the due dates allowing time for classmates to respond. The author should monitor their posts and respond to cross posts from other students. The online discussion should mimic a thoughtful classroom discussion. Therefore, the students should demonstrate promptness and initiative in posting and remain engaged throughout the discussion.
The presentation of the post should demonstrate a clear and concise writing style appropriate to graduate-level work, utilizing appropriate terminology.
Peer-reviewed references (meaning articles published in scholarly journals) should be your primary support in all posts and cited according to APA formatting guidelines.

The consensus model in nursing practice
The health system is an integral part of an economy that need to be led with vigilance. There are a number of models used by practitioners in enhancing quality service delivery in the health system. One of the best models is consensus model which uses the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). It is used by nurses, physicians and other medical practitioners. The APRN is usually used for the accreditation, certification licensure and education of medical practitioners in America. This paper will focus on the role of APRN in health provision by medical practitioners. It will also focus on the effectiveness and outcome of the implementation of APRN in healthcare. The APRN has improved quality services in healthcare over the years (Moran et al., 2016)
The barring of the APRN from the full practice by the regulators has affected the health system to a greater extent. Different impacts have been felt in terms of the cost of services, access to care, quality of care and delivery of service. The cost of medical services has greatly gone high because of the insufficiency of the medical practitioners as a result of strict requirements they need to possess (DeNisco & Barker, 2013). The services are also difficult to access by patients because of the few nurses in practice. According to the statistics only 30% of the practitioners meet the criteria of APRN hence may not serve the whole population of patients. This means that the delivery of quality services is not possible because of the inadequate skilled nurses and physicians.
The implementation of the APRN model has really create the barriers in the nursing roles but it has enabled the nurses to be involved in the formulation of policies regarding the service provision. It has also enabled nurses to fight for the rights and needs of patients. The APRN models has impacted on my area by making it possible for nurses to practise in their profession. The models have also led to the recognition of nurses with their skill, knowledge and experience in handling patients (Blair & Jansen, 2015).
Not all APRN roles are not usually used in all states, for instance, within this state the nursing practitioner (NP) is used instead. The roles that are not recognised include the midwifery roles and the anaesthesia roles. The APRN has been emphasizing on the licensure and certification of nursing practices but this has since brought confusion and my state has opted to the use of certification instead of licensure to mean accreditation to practice. The level of education has been of great concern by the APRN in practicing and engaging in the nursing profession. However only Diploma cannot qualify a nurse but should have a higher diploma or degree in order to be certified as a qualified practitioner. The government has further im...
