Health Information Systems (HIS) is useful to manage healthcare data the HIS facilitates the collection storage, management, analysis and transmission of data at regular intervals. The Electronic Medical Record and the Electronic Health Record are among the most common and important Health Information Systems where data is useful to strengthen the health system and guides decision making. Protecting individually identifiable health information is prioritized in HIPAA and they apply in doctors, health care providers, and hospitals to improve information security.
