Introduction
As the participation of the general public becomes deeply rooted in national and international public health policies, decision makers have a task to understand the key actors who have the power to influence and outcome or those who are affected by a decision and an action taken by stakeholders (Matthieu, Gardiner, Ziegemeier, & Buxton, 2014). The concept of the stakeholders has achieved popularity in the heath sector, a factor that makes it the primary intent of this paper. This paper, therefore, seeks to determine the key connections and competing areas that show concern within each stakeholder.
Connections and Competing Areas of Stakeholders
It is important to mention that the public and private health systems in many instances develop programs and projects that need to be undertaken in an interdisciplinary and cross-boundary manner that would involve the initiatives of stakeholders (Matthieu, et. al). These institutions in place of meeting the demands of their projects and programs develop strategies that incorporate both the internal and external stakeholders who are the key players in ensuring an organization's well-being through partnerships.
On the other hand, the external stakeholders have the mandate of contributing their views and ideologies in addressing pertinent issues that are significant for an institution (Sørensen, & Waldorff, 2014). The following list, therefore, depicts both the internal and external stakeholders and their competing objectives in public and private entities.
Clinicians and their professional associations
Clinicians remain the central focus of any medical decision-making process. Where there are challenges in the lack of data and interventions on treatment choices and diagnostics, these stakeholders play the central role of formulating theses procedures (Sørensen, & Waldorff, 2014). They also are concerned with the development of information that is required to make better recommendations to patients and the evidences that are needed to support in guiding the pathways of medical practice aimed at improving the quality of medical care.
Health Care Institutions, Such As Hospital Systems and Medical Clinics, and Their Associations;
