Our body is such a sophisticated system that even today's scientists and experts are baffled as to how it all works. Our immune system, on the other hand, is one of the greatest systems in our bodies since it protects us from illness and hazardous viruses that wander throughout our environment. Our bodies have two types of immunity: innate immunity and adaptive immunity. Innate immunity is our inborn immunity, which is present in our bodies from the moment we are formed in our mother's womb. The second type of immunity is adaptive immunity, which our bodies develop later in life and involves the creation of new immune cells to combat new disease strains. The second type of immunity is critical for our race's survival since our bodies cannot cope with new fatal diseases without it (Spellberg & Edwards, 2001).
