            There is an increasing need for logistic solutions for nurses working within Home Health Agencies to support optimum deployment. Optimization aims to ensure that patients are seen promptly, nurses spend minimum time on the road, and patients are satisfied with the quality and safety of services. This purpose aligns with the PICOT question: In aging patients in short-term in-home care, does patient satisfaction increase when a service provider relies on a logistics plan compared to satisfaction when the service provider does not rely on a logistics plan within two months of care? The current paper outlines the critical objectives of the logistics solution for a homecare health agency. 

Key Objectives

1. Minimize travel time and distance for nurses.  

There is a need to limit nurses' travel distance and time because it contributes to their work burden, which in turn, adds to the potential outcomes of burnout. Thus, an objective is to ensure that while all patients are provided with quality care, nurses have a plan of the shortest routes between points to limit their travel time and distance. This means nurses will be less tired or exhausted while providing care.
