Introduction
Disseminating evidence about findings to stakeholders and the nursing community facilitates replication of practice innovations and application in new settings (Forsyth et al., 2010). Hence disseminating evidence seeks to achieve the set objectives, and there are various alternatives to disseminating evidence. Dissemination relates to availing the project deliverables and outcomes to stakeholders and the greater nursing community. Dissemination helps to pass information and get feedback about a project. Workshops and conferences are dissemination strategies that allow communication between the nursing community and the key stakeholders. Through focusing on open communication and highlighting on the need for the project, it will be easier to disseminate evidence on the project’s outcomes
Disseminating results of project to key stakeholders
The dissemination plan takes into account the disseminating strategies to key stakeholders and the nursing community. For the key stakeholders, effective communication is of utmost importance as it emphasizes on the project’s purpose while bringing on board the stakeholders. Communication strategies should be geared towards influencing the decisions of the key stakeholders, while focusing on evidence- based practice (Holland & Rees, 2010). The reason behind this is that the stakeholders need to be convinced that the project is viable for their continued support of the project and its objectives. Hence, there should be open communication to ensure that there is mutual trust with the key stakeholders who are more likely to make a positive contribution towards the project’s success.
One of the ways through which to bring together key stakeholders is through workshops and conferences. This will raise the project’s profile while also allowing interaction among the stakeholders. It is easier to assess and improve on the project through the input of stakeholders who give their insights about the project.
