Background of the organization. The Xavier’s Heart Institute was the institute that I chose for my study case. In the institute there is 50 staff who include the clerical staff, pharmacist and staff nurses, there are 12 doctors who on the full-time basis attend the patients they take four shifts. The hospital receives up to 100 patients a day. The PDCA approach came into use after some 20 consultants used it to avoid the medical errors, Billing errors, eradicating the unnecessary waiting time and managing the medical inventory.
Why PDCA: quality in the health care is one of the main duties of the medical practitioners. All the stakeholders in the Institute must work to enhance the goals of the institution are reached. This is done with the objective of reducing the production cost in mind, from the facility, infrastructure, administration and the clinical services offered.
