The dermatology department mainly focuses on skin and the mouth, hair, and nails, related to systemic diseases or those that are difficult to treat. Surgeries are targeted towards melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer, benign tumors, and nail surgery. The most common skin disorders, diseases, & conditions are acne (acne vulgaris), contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), shingles (herpes zoster), sunburn, diaper rash, hives (urticaria), keratosis pilaris, basal cell carcinoma, and rosacea (Anderson. 2020).
