Health is the physical and mental well-being where one does have an illness or injury. Behavior relates to the health attributes including belief, motives and perceptions that influence health outcomes, and the social conditions directly influence behavior. Risk factors are the attributes or characteristics associated with the likelihood of getting a condition, disease, injury or death. For instance, alcoholism is a risk factor to developing liver cirrhosis. Enhancing resiliency has a positive effect to behavior change, while the context needs to be considered while intervening (Johnson, Scott-Sheldon, & Carey, 2010).
To link the health behavior with health outcomes then there is a need to rely on multiple perspectives when looking at health issues. The implication of this approach is that diverse intervention strategies are necessary to promote health. The main benefit of this approach is that causes of health behavior are considered when intervening based on the contextual perspective including the interpersonal, interpersonal institutional and community factors (Eddy., et al 2002).
