COMPETENCIES OF A MODERN LEADER.
A leader in an educational environment have the following leadership competencies. He should posses interpersonal skills, these skills can be expressed being an active listener, and possessing both speaking and conversational skills for effective communication and networking with other groups. High developed Interpersonal skills enables an individual generate change within an organization (Carter, & Jackson, 2009). He should be a good conflict manager by being able to understand and solve both conflicts with one and those that involve others. A leader can arbitrate a conflict by helping the parties attain win- win result or embrace Forrester, (2016). Thirdly a leader should have influential skills such that he is able to manipulate power and authority efficiently and equally, he should be able to influence people socially.
