The cardiovascular system is made up of the heart, blood vessels, and blood. The heart is essential in the cardiovascular system and is located just to the left in the chest. Moreover, it is surrounded by a protective double-walled membrane known as the pericardium or pericardial sac (Marieb, Mitchell, & Smith, 2014).
